Pregnancy in women with chronic pelvic pain with, or without, endometriosis may be difficult to achieve, and, difficult to maintain.
Not only can there be difficult problems with subfertility in thes circumstances but there are (recently) recognised problems with miscarriage, preeclampsia, growth problems, preterm labour and pain during the pregnancy (Stephansson, 2009).
In this section we will briefly discuss some of these problems and why they might occur. Assisted conception techniques are best dealt with on their own websites.
